Dr. Gregory DeLorenzo

Dr. DeLorenzo has been a member of the Cincinnati Rheumatic Disease Study Group (CRDSG) for nearly 25 years. He continues to obtain new studies of cutting-edge treatments for the Study Group and identify patients in need of more effective therapy. He also evaluates study patients in almost all of its clinical trials. He has participated in nearly 100 clinical research studies.

Dr. DeLorenzo graduated with honors from Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his residency at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus. He did his fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Louisville under the mentorship of E. Nigel Harris, one of the first investigators to describe anti-phospholipid antibodies and their importance in lupus and other rheumatic diseases. He has been in practice in Cincinnati since 1992 and has been recognized by his peers and his patients as a “Top Doctor” by Cincinnati Magazine and Castle Connolly.

Despite a very busy practice, Dr. DeLorenzo is an active member of the Board of the Ohio Association of Rheumatology and tirelessly advocates for patient rights and the access to advanced treatments by testifying before the Ohio State Legislature and by lobbying its members to pass laws which will improve the care of patients with rheumatic diseases.
