Dr. David Greenblatt

Dr. Greenblatt is a founding member of the Cincinnati Rheumatic Disease Study Group and continues to be among the most active members of the Group seeking new and exciting studies, evaluating the effectiveness of new treatments, and helping to identify patients who would most benefit from participation in our studies. He is also the President of the CRDSG and has been guiding the Study Group for many years.

Dr. Greenblatt received his MD from the University of Michigan and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Hospital. He completed his rheumatology fellowship under the mentorship of Dr. Evelyn Hess who fostered his career in basic science research. After completion of his fellowship, he then went to the National Institutes of Health where he spent several years as a research fellow before accepting a faculty position at George Washington University. He subsequently relocated to Cincinnati to establish the Deaconess Arthritis Center where he served as its Medical Director. He continues to practice rheumatology at the same location now for more than 25 years and continues to enjoy caring for patients.

Dr. Greenblatt remains committed to research. He has participated in 117 clinical trials and has published 17 peer reviewed papers. His major clinical interests are in rheumatoid arthritis and osteoporosis. But he cares for all patients with rheumatic diseases.
